229 | Core | Bug Report | High | Enable wake on alarm interrupts | Unconfirmed
Task Description
Found I'd kept some notes about making the Pandora's wake on alarm function work...
drivers/rtc/rtc-twl4030.c
twl4030_rtc_remove (for when the driver is removed) and twl4030_rtc_
shutdown (for when the system is shutdown) functions need to change. Or at least the shut down does.
oh YUK who's been using goto....
changes in drivers/rtc/rtc-twl4030.c
twl4030_rtc_remove
commented out //mask_rtc_irq_bit(BIT_RTC_INTERRUPTS_REG_IT_ALARM_M);
twl4030_rtc_shutdown
replaced
// mask_rtc_irq_bit(BIT_RTC_INTERRUPTS_REG_IT_TIMER_M |
// BIT_RTC_INTERRUPTS_REG_IT_ALARM_M);
with
mask_rtc_irq_bit(BIT_RTC_INTERRUPTS_REG_IT_TIMER_M);
twl4030_rtc_suspend
replaced
// mask_rtc_irq_bit(BIT_RTC_INTERRUPTS_REG_IT_TIMER_M |
// BIT_RTC_INTERRUPTS_REG_IT_ALARM_M);
with
mask_rtc_irq_bit(BIT_RTC_INTERRUPTS_REG_IT_TIMER_M);
twl4030_rtc_init
added (before return!)
twl4030_rtc_alarm_irq_set_state(true);
Should probably check reg 0x2B with mask 0x08 to see if alarm should be left enabled or not ?
but only in twl4030_rtc_shutdown and ?remove? NOT in twl4030_rtc_init
should remove ever happen ???
I'm guessing it's best to not enable the alarm irq's all the time??? |

155 | Core | Bug Report | Medium | Critical problems after rescaling GLES2 X windows | Unconfirmed
Task Description
When a X window which is displaying GLES2 render output is:
- Either dragged out of the visibile screen region (?)
- Is made larger than it was at the creation time of the GLES2 context
then:
- The performance will drop significantly as the EGL buffer swaps won't occur as fast as before,
- The render output will be corrupted and flicker
- In rare occasions crashes the application or locks up the entire system (which forces you to remove the battery)
The problem can not be solved without restarting the application (Possibly forcing players to complete the same goals again as they were unable to reach a savepoint or similar things).
This was confirmed in Mupen64Plus and the PowerVR GLES Samples and some of my own projects (which are, however, based on the PowerVR samples).
As I didn't see any other reports about this problems (but had it confirmed by other Pandora users too) I would expect that it can be fixed by using a newer X, kernel or combination of them as other OMAP users would be effected too. |

327 | Core | Feature Request | Low | Context menu for the XFCE menu | Unconfirmed
Task Description
Right now. the XFCE menu handles right clicks like left clicks. It would be more logical to either not do anything on a right click, or open a context menu that e.g. lets the user generate a link to an application on the desktop. |
|
246 | Application | Bug Report | Medium | Clipboard content of closed app gets tossed instead of ... | Unconfirmed
Task Description
FLAWED BEHAVIOUR:
Copy and paste only works between 2 active applications. This is very limiting!
If you are in the single task oriented MiniMenu you have no chance at all to share the clipboard between apps!
If you are in the multi tasking oriented XFCE desktop environment you can only share between apps running in parallel! Not with apps which started after the source app has been terminated.
DESIRED BEHAVIOUR:
The clipboard content (within reasonable limits of course) should remain, regardless of the source application, so that you can paste at any later moment into any application. |

307 | Core | Feature Request | Medium | Change how Automatic Shutdown works | Unconfirmed
Task Description

236 | Core | Bug Report | Low | Cannot unmount SD-Card | Unconfirmed
Task Description
SD-Card in Pandora can only be unmounted by guest (uid=1000) but not by jgeiss (uid=1001).
Steps To Reproduce:
Insert SD-Card (or boot with SD-Card inserted),
Login as jgeiss (uid=1001),
Try to unmount SD-Card via XFCE-Popup-Menu (right mouse click on SD-Card-Icon and select unmount). |

292 | Core | Bug Report | Low | Can't seek in ogg files using pygame / SDL | Unconfirmed
Task Description
Using pygame I try to play a music file starting from some position in the middle::
import pygame
pygame.init()
pygame.mixer.init()
pygame.mixer.music.load('some_file.ogg')
pygame.mixer.music.play(0,60)
This should start playing the file from the firs minute, instead on the pandora the file plays from the start.
I've tried the same code in a debian (sid) chroot (from extend utils) and it works correctly, as it does on my pc (debian wheezy).
I suspect that the issue may be present also in .next (I've done a very quick test on a friend's pandora).
Some relevant version numbers:
* libogg.so.0.6.0 (on debian libogg.so.0.8.0)
* libSDL_mixer-1.2.so.0.10.1 (on debian libSDL_mixer-1.2.so.0.12.0) |

I accidentally posted a "feature request" as a "bug report" within the FlySpray BugTracker.
I wanted to correct my mistake.
It was not possible to edit it.
I assigned the bug to myself.
Then I could edit it.
But now I cannot un-assign it from me.
I merely wanted to suggest a feature but not take development responsibility (yet).
For original submitters, who later realize a mistake in their post, there should be a possibility to correct their mistake.
Please un-assign me from #237 #241 #243 and this one #245. Thanks. |

320 | Core | Bug Report | Low | Bluetooth connection lost after wake-up from sleep mode | Unconfirmed
Task Description
When an internet connection was established through a mobile phone (Android, tethering) via bluetooth, the internet connection will not be re-established when the Pandora was sent to sleep and woken up again. The Pandora seems to be connected to the mobile phone, but no internet connection can be established, not even when manually trying to connect. The only way out is to disable bluetooth and enable it again.
I had similar problems with WiFi, before notaz tweaked the system (http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/11416-wifi-mysteries-resolved-once-and-for-all-—-power-saving-is-clearly-the-culprit/?p=249036). |

Task Description
If you boot the system with the lid closed, the backlight will still be on when you get to the desktop. You have to lift the lid for an instant and then close again to shut it off. Perhaps this is because of the lack of trigger for an interrupt since the sensor is already activated. Can there be one extra check of the lid sensor after boot to cover this static position? |

Task Description
When I have received my Pandora, I got an SD Card but it was not formated. I didn't have any card reader so I didn't now what was wrong (the Pandora or the SD Card).

using

you can see the pressure axis ranging from 120-ish for hard press to about 150-170 for light press (low pressure values can

I could possibly hack the evdev module to possibly do something with this odd and narrow range of values, but I rather think looking
at the source that the ads7846 module needs some work.

Task Description
Trashing a file/folder seems to MOVE it to a certain trash directory on the MAIN VOLUME, rather then the ORIGINATING VOLUME, hence this can result in a COPY RATHER THAN A MOVE operation, if the trashed file originates from a filesystem other than the main filesystem!
This is very inefficient and faulty as it is:
a) Very time consuming
b) And in case of large files this operation can even fail due to not enough free space on the main volume. |

52 | Core | Bug Report | Medium | X11-Touchscreen: Fullscreen-Issue when the mouse cursor ... | Closed
Task Description
There are some issues with the touchscreen using X11 and fullscreen apps which use their own mouse cursor.
The mouse cursor tends to shift around when it comes outside of the normal screen area.
This can be seen with SuperTux: The mouse cursor is a penguin. Move that close to the edge of the screen and it jumps around and then is shifted to the real touchscreen.
Thanks to a bug in SuperTux, this can also be fixed: Go into the Level Editor and go back into the main menu:
On top of the penguin mouse cursor is the normal X mouse cursor, which will not Shift anymore.
Aditionally, I tried the Hatari Menu (running on 640x480) and AlephOne (running on 800x480).
Both use the standard X mouse cursor and both are working fine.
I guess that the mouse cursor gets confused if it has negative values. |
|
31 | Core | Bug Report | High | X11 Crashing with omapfb | Closed
Task Description
Cleaned up a bit.
* Mouse is inverted if you run SDL Games from the console.
* Mouse is not properly calibrated when you run SDL Games under X fullscreen. Fixed with notaz patch that also fixes the X11-Crash with omapfb (see below)
Regarding the X11-Crash when using SDL-Fullscreen-Apps together with omapfb:
notaz nailed down the problem: It's actually xf86-input-tslib's fault-
omapfb only acted as catalizator here, causing SDL to use different code path and call different X functions.
His patch also almost increases the touchscreen problem (see above): It runs perfect for games in 800x480.
However, on small issue is left on apps with lower resolution which use their own mouse cursor:
As soon as you move the mouse outside of the game resolution (i.e. SuperTux runs 640x480), the mouse cursor stops at the end of the virtual screen and you have an offset.
This only seems to happen when the game uses it's own mouse cursor. If you go to the level editor of SuperTux and leave, the normal X cursor appears and the problem doesn't occur anymore.
So this is probably something that needs to be fixed in the game, not in the driver.
A compiled version (for testing):
http://notaz.gp2x.de/tmp/tslib_drv.so --- needs to be copied here: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/tslib_drv.so |

173 | Core | Bug Report | High | X uses 100% cpu in low power mode | Closed
Task Description
After 10 minutes in low power mode X seems to go nuts and use 100% CPU. Obviously this is bad ;-) 14MHz isn't *that* slow, so there's obviously something getting wedged.
I haven't been able to figure out exactly what's happening, but the fact that it always occurs after exactly 10 minutes suggests its power management related. Maybe we're getting stuck trying to kick off the screensaver, or something?
Hacking op_power.sh do disable screen blanking shows that, unsurprisingly, the screen freezes at the same time X goes AWOL.
Pressing the power switch brings the device out of low power mode, though there is often a few seconds additional delay as the event handling scripts take longer than normal to run because the CPU is already busy.
I've attached the results of
top -b -d 60 > toplog &
while sleep 60 ; do cat /proc/loadavg; done > loadlog |
