FS#177 - no x or xfce after shutdown and reboot

often but not always after shutting down the system (xfce logout, choose shutdown) thereĀ“s a problem when booting again. i got the normal bootscreen but when x an xfce should start the screen remains black. i cannot say if the x or xfce didnĀ“ start or if it is a problem with the backlight intensity. rebooting with pandora key and power key leads to the same situation. the only thing that seems to help is to remove the battery shortly. so, what is the difference beetween reboot after powerdown and reboot after replacing the battery? there could be the point to fix this problem.

Have you tried removing the SD Card to test if this happens then? Often, SD Cards with some faults in the filesystem lead to this problem (it takes ages to boot up)

Yes, I do. The fist thought was that my .bashrc could made the trouble. I set $HOME to the flash card when $HOME on the card is found. But even without SD-Cards no luck.

Ok, my wife said she had the same problem with her Pandora and she is the "normal" User with no scripting at all ;-)

I just had the problem again and solved it with - Pandora-Key + Reset - Right Shoulder Button - "power off" - Power on again So, is this "poweroff" another one than shutting down from Menu...?

Can you try a more recent Hotfix? Should be fixed with any HF6 version.
